JUNYOUNG PARK
Industrial designer
Hi, I’m Junyoung Park — an Industrial Designer driven by curiosity, creativity, and a love for solving real problems that people face every day. Over the past decade, I’ve shaped how millions of people interact with home appliances, from leading the design of Maytag’s top-load visual brand language to influencing nearly every North American laundry launch since 2020.
I believe great design lives at the intersection of form and function. My approach combines human-centered design, deep empathy for user needs, and a hands-on understanding of engineering and manufacturing. I’m as comfortable sketching early concepts as I am prototyping in VR, running a 3D print overnight, or challenging tooling directions with engineers to make sure the final product works as beautifully as it looks.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new technologies like VR and AI to expand what design can do — whether it’s reducing wasteful prototypes or bringing consumer pain points to life through immersive storytelling. For me, design isn’t just about products — it’s about creating experiences that feel purposeful, intuitive, and meaningful.
